It doesn't take a lot of cash to make your home entertainment experience good. It takes some, but not as much as used to. That is because the technology has gotten a lot less pricey and the quality is better. An HDTV isn't as expensive as it was just a couple of years ago, and the prices have weakened for the components that you need as well.
Needless to say, if you want to be a show off, you could purchase some really expensive components and the newest and highest tech television on the market. But if you just want to enjoy movies and television in the privacy of your own home and do it in a way that is enjoyable and comparable to the movie theater experience, it doesn't have to be expensive. You can get a reasonably priced television, but that is not all that you will require.
Most people already have this part of the set-up anyway. But you do need a couple of components and a surround sound system. The components are going to most likely be a game console, something that you can play games on and watch movies with as well. If you can get two things out of one component, then that is better than having to buy them separately. That is why the PlayStation 3 is such a good deal. Not only can you play games, you can watch DVD's and Blu-rays as well.
This signifies that you are not limited to just one or the other, your options are open. Of course, if you are not a Sony fan boy, you can always decide on something else and get a couple of components. Then you will need the surround sound system that will pull everything together. If you have a excellent television and are watching a great movie, then why skimp out when it comes to the sound? Not having the sound to back up the picture is like going for a run using Crocs.
